Geography

"The study of geography is about more than just memorizing places on a map. It's about understanding the complexity of our world, appreciating the diversity of cultures that exists across continents. And in the end, it's about using all that knowledge to help bridge divides and bring people together.“
Barack Obama

The Bishopswood Geographer will endeavour to pose questions and create own lines of enquiry in order to develop their understanding and respect for the world and the people in it. They will gain a passion to explore the Earth, embracing the variety of its features and the life that thrives there in a respectful and caring manner.

The Bishopswood Geographer will:

Use maps, atlases and globes to locate countries and places of interest.

Investigate human & physical geography from around the world.

Gather & interpret data and information from maps, fieldwork, images, graphs & charts.

Appreciate the variety of the world’s features.

The Roadmap shows the journey that our children take as they progress through school. Our History curriculum is progressive, broad and engaging.
